I found baby (well puppy) pictures of Loki on my Myspace while editing the folders today. May I say "AWWWWWW" I can't believe he was ever that itty bitty!

I wish he'd stay a puppy forever (without the house-peeing and constant chewing and untrained aspects of puppyhood).
And here's Loki NOW.

He's still tiny (like 12" at the shoulders, smaller than a regular sized Beagle) but he;s not like ITTY BITTY like he was in the above pics.
He's a Poclet Beagle, so like... he's supposed to be tiny but he's not as tiny as some of the sickly sad ones you see when you see most Pocket Beagles. I'll take him being a little bigger than expected but healthy. Heidi & Kyle did well IMHO. They didn't only breed tiny sickly dogs like most PB breeders, they bred dogs that were tinier than a regular Beagle (they're usually 13"-18") but not a sickly-tiny. I'd definitely go back to them!
Especially because of how happy I am with Loki. He's such a fucking awesome dog.

This post isn't entirely related to Loki though it IS related to dogs that I have owned.
When I was 14 my family got a dog, she was probably the best dog a guy could want. Her name was Jericho and she was a Curly-Coated Retriever.

This is a picture of her with Loki.

And one of her with my wife Bree.
Jericho was one of the smartest, sweetest most empathic dogs you'd ever meet. She was so well behaved you'd forget she was even there, but at the same time she was always around. Sitting in the doorway lounging on the living room floor with her head resting on the little step up (our living room was one step down from the hallway & kitchen and she used the step as a pillow). She loved to hike and swim. She would get beat up by dogs half her size because she was too sweet to fight back. She knew when I needed her, if I was upset all I had to do was open my bedroom door and she was right there ready to come and sit on my bed and cuddle me for as long as I needed her. She was just an all around perfect dog.

On Thursday I got a call from my mom who lives back east. She had some very sad news, I'm sure you can guess what it was. On Wednesday last week she suddenly got sick and when my mom took her to the vet they did all they could, but by Thursday the only humane thing to do for her was to put her down. Jericho was like my mom's 4th kid. She slept right next to my mom's bed for her whole life (well she used to share the bed but then my mom got married and her husband didn't want to share a bed with an 90 pound bed-hog! I'm afraid my wife might get some ideas about the whole kick-dog-out-of-bed thing). Anyway she followed my mom around all day, if my mom was in the shower Jericho was in her room waiting (if the bedroom door was shut, Jericho was right outside the door waiting). If my mom was exercising in the basement, Jericho was right there. If mom was on the computer Jericho was right there. If mom was eating Jericho was right next to her waiting for scraps. We all loved Jericho like a sibling but she was to my mom what Loki is to me.

Jericho was there for everything. She was there when I started high school and my sister started middle school. She was there when my mom got married (she was literally there because the wedding was in our old living room!) and when we moved into the bigger and better house (in a slightly better area). She was there through every fight I had with my mom in HS and beyond. She was there when I graduated HS went away to college, and there when I came back home (for vacations, for escapes from ....other things, and eventually when I came home for good). She was there when my sister graduated HS and started college. (and even though he didn't live with us, Jericho was there when my brother finished HS and went through Military school then started college She was there when I moved in with Derek then moved back with my mom. She was with me when I was at rock bottom with my addiction/s and there when I started the methadone program, and when I moved in with my dad. There when I got engaged and when my sister got engaged. There when I moved to Olympia, my sister moved to Idaho and my brother moved to New York. She was there when my sister got married and she was there to meet Loki when we got him and brought him back east to visit this past xmas.
She has been there to see the growth in my family for the past 11 years and it feels so wrong that she wouldn't be with us for any more big moments. When I was planning my wedding with Bree, we wanted Jericho to be the flowergirl dog, and Loki would be the Ring bearer Beagle.
If you've never lost a pet, especially a dog, it's hard to understand what it means to have lost her. It's not the same as losing a person (I've lost more than enough people to untimely and unpleasant deaths) but, having gone through both types of losses, I can't honestly say one hurts worse or one is worse. They're different types of pain, equal in some ways but different in many others. Loss is loss, and I'm the type that sees my dogs as family members. In fact I think Jericho rides higher on my list than a couple human family members hah. And Loki definitely does!
What scares me though is... going through this with Jericho is so hard on me emotionally, and I haven't lived with her in 3 years. I moved in with my dad in February of 2006. But when Loki dies... I can't even think about that because I will be a fucking basket case. It's things like this that make me understand why some people never want pets. Though I'd rather have loved and lost a hundred wonderful dogs than never known the joy of having one. But that doesn't make the loss any less hard on me emotionally. I don't think I can bear the thought of never seeing her again when I visit the family. Of not having her around ever again. It's just too much.

We will all miss you Jericho, you were the perfect dog. You will never truly die because we will never forget you.

Loki says "hello world" (he got a bath today, I have a silken-Beagle)!
I got a package from Susan containing a cute little t-shirt for Loki that says "local celebrity" which he is. and it looks adorable on him. As a general rule I never ever buy shirts for my dog but he needs something warm because of all the service dog work he has to do in the winter, and the shirt is warm, especially under the vest (which isn't warm) so it'll be useful.

It says Local Celebrity on it. It's true, Loki is a local celebrity in his own way, everyone knows me as the guy with the dog (or "that freaky goth guy with the dog" but I digress) and when he's not with me I hear 100 renditions of "where's the doggie???"

Unfortunately sometimes he thinks the shirt is a live-in chew toy. But he'll appreciate it when it's fucking cold outside and he doesn't feel it because of his local celebrity shirt!

On the bottom, it says "simply dog"

If looks could kill...

I know, I need to update more. We're about to get our actual internet set up which means no more er ...borrowing... the neighbor's internet (it's sort of sub par anyway, always cutting in and out) so once that occurs you'll be seeing a lot more posts here.

*facepalm*
(I seriously need to turn that into an icon)

Loki has this habit of chasing the mouse on laptops, he always does it to Bree's when she's playing a game, chases the mouse or the moving parts of the game (for instance in the above picture she's playing Hearts and he's chasing the cards as she moves them). It's fun to tease him with the computer, like a cat and a flashlight

You have to admit, Loki > everyone! (at least when it comes to cute).

( some more more more )
I'd post more but Bree is done with her shower.
Expect more tomorrow or something like that. This amount of cute oughta hold you over.
I need to update my Loki icons anyway, they're all really friggen old.

It's Loki's first birthday today!! :D :D
Bree drove me to the clinic (and I finally had a UA today) and then we went to McDonalds and got Sausage McMuffins and a dog biscuit for the Lokinator. We took him to Lyons Park and played with him for like 20 minutes there, tossing a stick and playing in the snow (it snowed last night) and he was having the time of his life.
We came home and lit a little birthday candle for him and sang happy birthday and I gave him a greenie (they're little things for the dog to chew, like... natural ingredients and they're really good for his teeth and Loki LOVES them).
I don't know if you know this but we moved to a new apartment on January 15. We have better internet here, not great but better.
SO I can update here more!

These are mostly x-posted here so my mom and the rest of my family can see more pictures of Loki being insanely cute in the snow that's almost taller than him!

Ker-SPLAT

Snow-shovel Beagle! :D
Cone-less snowplay! It's even cuter!

Aww, Loki always out-cutes himself.
I would have been in heaven with this snow had it fallen any time AFTER Thursday. *le'sigh*
Cross your fingers for the flight (and methadone clinic transfer) tomorrow (and Thursday) to go without serious problems.

I love my Loki.

We're in the middle of a blizzard...
And the snow is currently almost taller than the dog.

Needless to say I was dying of laughter watching him TRY to frolic in snow that was almost as tall as he is.

I'm not sure what was cuter, him frolicking in the snow or him warming up by burrowing in Bree's blanket.
I'm trying to enjoy the snow instead of worrying TOO much about the travel conditions on Monday for my trip back east. I'm not very successful.
(Oh why didn't it fall a week from today! It wouldn't even have MATTERED!) *sigh*

We took Loki's satellite off and lord I have never seen that dog so happy in my life! He's been running in circles and rubbing his face on the ground and putting his little paws all over his face and ears, to remind himself that they're there. I got a funny video of it. I gotta post it soon. I really need to get this journal up-to-date with pictures of Loki,
I'm sorry I've been so damned lazy! I'm so bad at internetting. What with siphoning the net from neighbors my connection is crap at best so it's hard to do basically ANYTHING on the net nowadays so it enhances my desire to not even try.
Did you know there's a Marley & Me movie coming out?
My mom sent me the book for my birthday (along with a great training book called Mother Knows Best, think it was a hint? Hah)! Bree & I read M&M back then.
Now I'm reading it to Loki (obviously he doesn't know what's going on but he likes to be read to, it's cute). Bree told me the movie is coming out starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson. I'm excited, the book will make a hilarious movie.
The book certainly makes me feel better about Loki's antics. He's no Marley, that's for sure. Firstly he's not a 97 pound Lab, he's a 15 pound Pocket Beagle. Plus while he'll eat anything, he's easier to catch (and his mouth is smaller so he can't eat as much, and usually he sticks to socks and plastic, and since he's small, we can put things up and out of reach). He does sort of the Marley Mambo, only it's a Loki-mambo and it merely consists of flying around the room and skidding under the bed when he has something he shouldn't thus cluing us in.
It's a sweet book. You should read it, Marley & Me by John Grogan.
We've got tickets to fly back east for xmas. We'll get there on December 22 around 6pm and we're leaving on December 25th around 4pm. Loki, Bree & I will be staying at my mom's house till xmas morning then we go to my dad's house for a couple hours and, since we're not welcome there (our love is forbidden and best left ignored) we're going home that afternoon. I wanted to spend time with my dad, and let my step-brothers see Loki, but that's simply not acceptable. That'll learn me to follow my heart!
I'm so excited about Loki meeting my family! (at least the members that want to see me). It'll be cool for everyone to meet my wife and our baby. And see how adorable and amusing Loki is in person.

I feel so bad for Loki it's killing me, I can't stop crying!
He hates his satellite! He HATES it. Not just in an "I'm an annoyed Beagle and I hate you for doing this to me!" way. No, in a heartbreaking terrified and depressed way.
We went to walk to the mailbox to mail our rent to Jim & Jean (the owners of the house, they live at the prison in Steilacom WA, they're not jailbirds, they work there, hence renting the house) and Loki wouldn't walk. I mean refused to walk. He balked as soon as I put him down and every time he took a step, he'd put his nose to the ground to sniff, cuz he's a Beagle, a scenthound, and so he's used to smell-walking. But when he'd put his nose to the ground his satellite would scrrrraaaaaaape and scare him. He'd been trying to back out of it to no avail. And we carried him to the playground a couple houses down where it's all grass so no loud scrrrraaaaaaapes but he was so flipped out by the satellite he didn't want to do anything. And he had this horribly pitiful little whimper-whine. it was seriously killing me from the inside.
When we got him to our lawn (I carried him) he was getting more comfortable. He has a wobbly walk still, and is still trying to get used to it. It might take a little bit of time, but it's making me so sad. I know he needs it, he has to get rid of that hot-spot. But it's hurting me so much to watch him like this! He was VIBRATING! And his heart was pounding. I just sat there holding him and crying.
Every time he figured out how to do something new in his satellite we fill him with praise and pine cones (he loves to chew on them, he doesn't eat them just gnaw) and he's getting more comfortable, walking with his head up and all that. But when he does something wrong or scares himself it makes me so sad because he just balks and stops trying till we can convince him to go again.
It's so good I don't have kids, I'd so be one of THOSE parents if I did. Like every time the kid got I'd start bawling. And I'M supposed to be the father! Yipes.
My overprotectiveness over Loki is obviously because he's my service dog for PTSD, we have a pretty co-dependent relationship and I readily admit that heh. He's used to being with me 24/7 and we're completely in tuned to each others' emotions. So I'm trying to show him that I want him to be comfortable in his satellite while he's stuck in it, I don't want my empathy-sads to stunt his comfort gaining. But it's so hard and painful to watch him struggle like this!
He hasn't left my side since we put it on, either because he's scared or because I'm sad or both.
My poor poor baby :( :(

Today is kill fleas day. We gave Loki a big fat flea-bath (and throughout the whole thing I kept singing "soapy Beagle! Soapy Beagle! Soapy soapy soapy SOAPY Beagle!" through the whole ordeal) and while I did that Bree vacuumed and we're doing massive laundry. The good news is we FINALLY got River on board! She promised to flea treat her cats tomorrow (she's sprog-sitting this afternoon) and she vacuumed the rest of the house (well the parts not covered in her crap).
We bought new flea treatment (we ran out of the stuff we got from Bree's mom in August) and we got him new chewy-sticks. And, among other stuff for me (2 books and a universal remote) I got a Beagle folder and a Beagle notebook (Folder is from The Dog brand, and the notebook is from "Puppy Paws", the folder will enclose Loki's papers and other important crap, the notebook for notes on training and other important Loki related things I always need to write and end up doing on looseleaf paper that invariably gets lost or eaten). All for like $30. Good deal. Bree's K-mart discount is useful.
Plus we got Loki a satellite from the vet.
Yknow the big Elizabethan collars they put on dogs when they have surgery so they don't bite their wounds. Well due to the fleas Loki gave himself a hot-spot on his bottom and is chewing his hair out and has little hurties all over it so in order to facilitate healage we got him a satellite, so I'm going to be singing "Satellite.... on my puppyyyy!" till it comes off. Just a warning :D
That's all for now.
Amusing pictures of Loki looking like a giant Beagle margarita to come later!

So we only take Loki's harness off before bathing him. So tonight when we took it off (which we did because he always ALWAYS shakes nonstop at night, his ears are bugging him and we're going to clean 'em out tomorow but tonight we need to make the shaking quieter so we de-harnessed him, the tags on it jingle whenever he shakes and it wakes us up). Anyway when we de-harnessed him he figured he was getting a bath. Not to mention that since Bree always sleeps naked (even in the dead of winter, it's the damnedest thing, dunno how she does it) she was naked when de-harnessing him, so that added to his suspicion.
Needless to say, he was unhappy and he BOLTED. He ran to his den, under the bed. I swear I have NEVER seen that dog run so fast! He was like.... a Beagle shaped Greyhound! And he sat under the bed till he noticed nobody was forcing him to come out and get in the tub. Now he's wandering around the room still ready to bolt if he hears the dreaded words "come on Loki bath time".

PS- I REALLY need to update the icons I have of Loki! All the ones I have are really old, back when he was a puppy of a puppy of a puppy of a dog. Most were made before May, I think ONE is from a picture taken on May first.
Guess that's another thing I should be doing during my long boring hours when Bree is at work. Making more icons of my dog.
I so have a life.

Cute Loki events:
-Cutest: When Obama won the election on Tuesday Bree & I were jumping up and down on the bed and floor cheering and hugging and crying and while doing so Loki started jumping up on us and howling and baying along with our cheers. Evidently Loki is a democrat.
-When I asked Loki if he wanted to go for a walk he gave me a resounding YES by jumping up and down, literally all 4 feet OFF the floor.
-Today I took Loki for a 45 minute walk! *wipes brow* we did a loop around the block, then walked to the bus stop and back and then did another loop around the block (where we met a lady doing road cleanup that loves Beagles and gave Loki some attention). He's learning to wait at street crossings. It's hard for him but he's never going to be offleash outside so it's okay.
-Yesterday I got a glimpse of how Loki is going to be when he outgrows his puppy energy and naughtiness. It was wonderful! He was such a great dog almost all day! Almost no naughties, very little challenging me.
Bree & I watched The Descent (a horror/action movie about caving and stuff like that, it's amazing, especially if you watch the original ending). It's pretty scary, I'm going to make my mom watch it with us when we visit her in December (I promise this is going somewhere).
Anyway Bree is super jumpy during horror movies. So we were sitting in my bed watching it and Loki was sniffing around possibly looking for something to steal and nom under the bed. I called him to come sit with us not expecting him to but he did! He sat on my lap the whole time and Bree & I cuddled up. Loki was so good during it. It used to be that when I'd squeeze him during a scary movie (or when I'm just upset or scared) he'd wriggle around or something but he let me squeeze him during scary parts, or bury my face in his ears or neck (he did the same thing when he & I watched Saw, I've seen it before but never alone in the dark when Bree is at work haha).
The cutest thing is he was sort of watching it too (he does watch TV, it's hilarious, he'll sit there and watch it, especially if dogs, mostly baying Beagles, are on it) and there was one scene where it was dead silent and Loki is watching the scene intently and BAM one of the .... weird underground people-eating thingers jumps out and Bree & I scream and Loki buries HIS head in MY lap with his ear flopping over his eyes! It was probably the cutest thing he's done in... well he does cute things daily so it was the cutest thing all week.
-Loki & I have started doing a yin-yang cuddle. We'll curl up with his head on my legs and my head on his bottom. It's really comfortable/cute.
Plus Loki has started sleeping in between us at night, because he wants to cuddle both of us and he used to just switch sides every time he'd wake up but instead he just plops down in the middle for a double-cuddle.
So Loki PWNS the world with cute, repeatedly.
Loki's new name is:
Loki Maynard Satani, sir Beagley The Regal Beagle of Houndshire.
He lives up to it and then some, being that he figures he's king of the world. He's my Regal-Beagle. And damn does he know it!
In other news, when I breed Pocket Beagles (which will not be soon, mind you, it'll be within 5-10 years, when Bree & I settle down in a house, because we're turning the basement or the garage, depending on whether a basement with a walk-out door is available, into the dog-zone, plus then we'll have the funds to do so) I've decided to name the main breeder-Beagles Homer & Marge.
I promise pictures soon!

Loki has bugs on his butt and nothing that we do will get them away. Flea stuff won't work, garlic won't work, vinegar won't work, nothing works. And we don't know what they even are, they're little brown crawly bugs. not ticks, they're bigger than a tick and they're not fleas because they don't jump. I have no idea what they are but they won't go away.

Mass hair change day for all except Loki (his hair is too short and already multi-colored). Punk Beagle!
I got extensions and dyed the white strip red, entirely because I seriously miss being a long-haired freaky goth guy. And I always wear my hair long for winter. But rather than waiting for it to grow out like a normal person, I got extensions! Yay! Easy way out wins again!
Plus Bree dyed her hair black (I'll goth her yet!)
But since I haven't posted here in a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time I figured I'd post a couple pics, the ones involving everyone's favorite Beagle!

Loki and I

Family pictures

Bree & Loki outside

Loki & Bree killing time on the bed waiting for Bree's dye to set.
I promise to post pics soon, really I will. You just have to slap me to get me to do it.
In cuter news Loki nommed one of his service dog cards last night, it was hilarious, entirely because of the irony. "I'm a professional!" say the cards. So, yknow, Loki being a professional dog, he has to eat things he shouldn't for a living. *nod* that's HIS story anyway.

Really cute photographic mishaps:

They come from my trying to get a good shot and Loki having other plans. The last two are because he was trying to sniff or lick the camera. The first was was an attempt at a playing pic and the second one was another attempt at a play picture but he decided to scuttle under the bed. I always have photographic mishaps with Loki but those were the cutest ones ever.
Anyway I really need to get back on track with posting pictures in this thing, I always get so fucking backed up.
I got Loki new presents. Well 2 of the 3 were more of presents for Bree & I. We got him a Sonic Bark Control thingie and a training-chain. I only use the chain on walks or when he's being really excessively fussy/hyper when outside. (I hate the pronged ones, it's one thing to use them for bigger dogs like retrievers. For instance we used one on Jericho when we took her for a walk, she's a Curly Coated Retriever; 90 pounds of curls and energy. The pronger worked wonders for her. But for a 15 pound fussy Beaglet it seems like.... overkill).
The sonic de-barker is a friggen miracle. I love it. We've been able to leave him in the room alone without him announcing his displeasure to the world. It's so NICE.
We also got him a stuffed animal, a Canvas Squeaky Dog (it even announced that name on both sides of the dog in giant black letters; "CANVAS SQUEAKY DOG!" it was beige canvas fulla cotton with two very quiet squeakers in it. Well within 6 hours it had no tail and no ears, Loki ate them. And this morning I discivered its' head was emptied of cotton and Loki was trying to sneak the cotton into his mouth under the bed. He was very unhappy that I stopped him and threw away the dog and its' innards.
My dog is a cannibal. He DOES take after me.
That's pretty much all for now. I'm planning to make new icons of Loki as all the ones I have now are old, from April & May when he was a puppy of a puppy of a puppy of a puppy of a puppy of a dog. They're old enough that his ears are still darker, the older he got the lighter his ears got and the tanner his face got, and his legs got more mottled. And his back invited some brown and tan highlights on it. So the pics look like 2 different dogs sort of (you can still tell it's the same guy but the coloring is so wonky!)

That's all for now interweb!

We were doing smell-training, because he's a Beagle and should be having more fun with his nose. I'm training him to find his poops outside, so I can clean them up. I tell him "find your poops" and he finds them and sits next to them. He did well with finding them today. He found them so quickly too! And when he found them he did the hound-dog thing, he stood by it and pointed! I never even trained him to do that, he just did. It was so awesome.
We rewarded him with "find the chicken" games. He found them all. It took him less than (or about) 3-4 minutes to find each piece. The second one was harder because he kept looking for it where the first one had been. But as soon as he actually put his nose to the ground and began to SNIFF he found it quickly. That's the only problem he really had finding any of them, he was thinking rather than sniffing. As soon as the active sniffing began he found it within 40-60 seconds or so.
I'm proud, he's being a Beagle!

Time for some... love?

"Hee hee!"

"I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing near you."

Almost a catch!

"Alright Cappin, we're readied for takeoff"

Loki tries some clothes on.

He's unimpressed.

Downs-Syndrome Beagle is still judging you.

Trying to catch the flying sock

"If I balance it on my nose can I have a life supply of chicken?"

Loki adores his new fox chew-toy.

Loki loves his new bed.

Loki wants to have a drink or 10.
( Some days worth of Loki )
Lots of Loki is love.

We went back east for my sister's wedding. For the weekend we stayed in Westminster MD with one of my really good friends I met while in college there, Drake, and his girlfriend JR in their apartment with Loki. (We couln't bring the puppy to my mom's house because it'd be pretty crowded there already without a puppy, and Bree is not welcome at my father's house, it's a long story involving a lot of bullshit, and it's unrelated to Loki so there's no need to post it here). So we stayed with friends.

Loki & I sitting outside of SeaTac airport while I prepare for the not-so fun prospect of being on a plane. *twitch*

Loki, myself & Bree on the plane ride towards B-more.

Drake, JR and Loki played in the backyard of JR's parents' house

Loki loves his uncle Drake!

A happy family portrait!

I walked Loki around McDaniel college (where I went to college from Fall 2002 - Spring 2004; Freshman & Sophomore year). My years there (primarily my Freshman year) are why I need Loki in the first place, so it was kind of ironic and weird to have him there hah

Outside of the student center hanging out; Loki, Bree, JR (on the wall) and Drake

Loki and I outside of the student center.

We met my friend Mike Y, we hung out in college together (he was in grad school & I was an undergrad).

Loki loves his uncle Drake! They're sitting by the dorm I WOULD have lived in had I stayed through my Junior year. Alas

We all were entertained by (and entertaining) Loki.

"heh heh"

JR and Drake love some Loki. Who can blame 'em?

"What? You mean the seat tray ISN'T a Beagle pillow? Shows what you know."
( The whole lot of 'em )
And thus ends the east coast excursion (for now).

A size picture, compared to the Mountain Dew 24-pack box, you can see his size.

Somebody is so pretty.

I loves my Loki and Loki loves his daddy! <3

I love both of them more than anything.

Two headed Breebit! TWO HEADED BREEBIT! Run!!

Loki and I out back (and I'm modeling my awesome new shirt)!

Hardcore slurps

PFFFFHHHHT!

"Take me drunk! I'm home!

"Hi my name is Loki, I'm a... 20 year old male... looking for a good time... plz contact me- Oops gotta go daddy's home!"
( He makes me feel strangely good about myself )

Loki is a little womanizer!
We were on our daily 4:30 walk and we passed a young girl (like maybe high school or early college at the most) getting into the car with her boyfriend and Loki went apeshit, trying to run up to her and wagging his tail and jumping up on his hind legs. I was like... "She's already got a man! You 4-legged womanizer!"
Not to mention whenever he's around a girl whether she's like 7 or 70, he hams it up, like "lookit how cute I am! Love me!"
Oh Loki. I can tell you're a teenager now.
*headdesk*

Quick news.
Bree moved in yesterday and we got married. So we took an official family picture. Loki was not too interested.

So our first family picture. Or as close as we've gotten thus far. (Loki follows his nose, it's hard to get him to sit still THIS long)

Loki & I say "Welcome home Breebit!"
Loki & I have gotten very very addicted to long walks. Each walk consists of 2 loops around the block so each walk is about 25 minutes. We take one in the late morning/early afternoon (sometime between 12 and 2) and one in the evening (at either 6:30 or 7). It's relaxing for me and it gets Loki's excess energy out and he's much better behaved than he was back when a walk was one loop a day. He got excercise of course, a lot of play outside, runs around the backyard and excess play in the room but I figure he'd like a change of scenery, a change of smells and long walks provide that.
It's so nice to do things on our own schedule and times now. I love LOVE it.
This is what we've been working for and waiting for. We've been waiting for years really. And we're there. Living together, married and me living here in Oly with my beautiful wife, my adorable and sweet little puppy and a decent enough place to live. We're saving for an apartment and trying to find a new place within a year. If not an apartment then at least a better and more comfortable (and sane) house to live in while we save for an apartment. But if we don't find one we're fine staying here. It's just something we'd like to do. Find a better place, preferrably a place with its' own exit and entrance like a basement/attic/garage apartment but Oly doesn't have many of those. We're also looking for studio apartments. We'll keep an eye out starting around January.
I will be updating my pictures soon, I promise. I don't know why and how I get so damn backed up with that. I suck I guess that's the only reason I can think of hah.

We got Loki new toys; a stuffed fox from Big Lots, and a big doggie-bed from Bed, Bath & Beyond. Also from BB&B we got him a little tire-ball. It's like his red-ball but it's made of black tire-like stuff (it even kinda looks like tires) and it has a bell inside.

We haven't given him that yet but we gave him the fox today and he has since fallen in love with it. As soon as we gave it to him he was smitten. He LOVES stuffed animals! He carries them around in his mouth and plays with them, noms them, snuggles them and chases them (he'll toss it himself and chase after it and he'll run around the room playing with it etc). Oh he loves that fox so much, it's adorable.

The doggie-bed took some getting used to. He didn't know what it was at first but he learned very quickly that the purpose is for him to sleep in and he loves it now. He curls up in it and dozes off. He is in it right now curled up with his fox. It's adorable, too bad my camera is charging. But the bed will be perfect for when we travel, he'll have something of HIS to sleep in.

We're going to the cabin tomorrow for the weekend. So you'll hear from me around Sunday.
I seriously need to get the pics in here up-to-date.
I ALWAYS GET SO FUCKING BACKED UP WITH PICS HERE. I lose.

Final picture update, pics upon getting new camera!
(The pics from the 30th of July are sub par because I was still finageling with the settings and didn't have a chance to sit down with it till today so bear with it).

Bree & Loki sitting by the back porch

Loki was a surprisingly patient model while I worked on trying to get my camera set up

Loki in the front yard of our house (well the house we're renting a room in)

Out back playing football with Bree, he jumped up to grab the ball just as I snapped the pic.

Trying to grab the ball out of Bree's hand and falling over instead

Going for a ride on the Breebit

Loki wants the interweb to see that he is all male (well not really, post-neutering. He's half the man he used to be, but he doesn't know that)

Pretty little Loki.
( Loki at 10mpx. That's a LOT of cute! )
WOO finally up to date! Score one for the me!

Pic post part 3
(my camera sadly died on 7/22 so I was using my craptacular cellphone camera for a week).

Family portrait with a smooch

Bree & Loki cuddle (he's looking like "yea I love my mommy, what of it?")

NIPPLE-NOM!

Hiding under the pillow

Loki and Bree playing out back

Loki & I in the back yard

Loki mid-humping. He looks very satisfied.

Loki gets multi-parental snuggles

Loki gets to ride the Bree-train

Foot fetish!! Loki nomming Bree's foot... a lot

Loki acts as the fashion police and destroys tacky shorts

Hi-five!

Loki got his nose stuck in a hole in his blanket and instead of working at freeing himself, he just licked the air in front of him so it looked like the blanket had a tongue.

Loki & Bree playing out back

Loki with his face jammed in a hole. (I refrained from making sophomoric jokes)
( Too many cutes? NAW! )
HUZZAH I am officially caught up (well sorta). I just have 2 days left; yesterday & today. I'll do those tonight. I got my new camera yesterday so this is the end of the crap cellphone ones.
But I'm done going all Ted Bundy on your friendspage.

Loki isn't a morning dog.

Loki takes a break from his backbreaking work of sitting around being cute

Loki sticks his head out the window with an intent to fly.

Playing chase-the-fatty in Bree's living room

Tries to catch the Squirt

VAMPIRE BEAGLE NOMS MIN-PIN!
